I could add things like toner, exfoliant, and serums, but my impression as of right now is that they're mostly cosmetic or don't apply to my skin type, so it's not worth it.

Do you need to wash your face as an adult?

Pretty much couldn't find anything in this category. Going to guess yes, based on other notes listing reasons for needing to wash skin.
